Bobby Zona Memorial Field @ Dean Park
June 25, 2013
My name is Mike
Lodowsky. I am chairing a group of former teammates, classmates, friends and coworkers who are attempting to have the
softball field at Dean Park in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts named in honor of our friend,
Robert F. "Bobby"
Zona. (SHS 1970)
Bobby Zona is a Member of our school’s Athletic Hall of Fame, but also was a 40 year+
employee of the Town of Shrewsbury’s Parks & Recreation Department.
Ultimately we would like to place
a granite monument with a plaque, to remember him for generations that follow.
We have currently set up an online
petition. You can click on the link at the bottom of this page or Google

We the Friends, Co-Workers, former Teammates, Classmates, Neighbors,
Teachers and Aquaintances petition in the honor of our fallen friend Robert F. "Bobby" Zona to dedicate and name
the softball field at Dean Park, "the Bobby Zona Memorial Field". Bobby had been an employee of the Town of Shrewsbury
for over 40 years, as well as being a member of the Shrewsbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Bobby's life was spent
as a dedicated native of this town and we feel this would be only appropriate to honor his legacy..
